Golden Star of Light Greetings

Hello Stampers!

Thanks to encouragement from Mary Fish, and inspiration from my dear friend Terry, I am back in the stamping’ therapy room.

Today’s cards features the Star of Light  photopolymer bundle, Gold Foil sheets and heat embossing

This white on white design is my favorite.  I added a little background texture using the Softly Falling TIEF.      I heat embossed the stardust design then cropped an oval using the new Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I added a silver Metallic enamel shape to each star for a little more sparkle.img_0547

ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA

Hello Stampers!  Yesterday was the first day of Stampin’ Up’s! Online Extravaganza.  Unfortunately, my post to announce this happy occasion was eaten by those mysterious gremlins.  Basically, my web hosting company experienced a MAJOR crash.  My website was not the only to be affected.  🙁

Let’s try this again!  Please visit MY ONLINE STORE for more details or to begin your shopping event!

A Very “Special Reason”

Hello Stampers!

Today’s card features a Sneak Peek from the upcoming Occasions Catalog using the stamp set Special Reason.  The simple sentiment from the stamp set So in Love, also from the fabulous new Occasions catalog.  The recipient deserves more than a Thank You card.  She was my roommate in Atlanta and tolerated me!

This is the first card I have using my brand spankin’ new Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies coordinate with the Stampin’ Up! Layering Circles, Squares and Ovals Dies!  Here are the approximate sizes of the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies:

Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies

Circles:  1-3/8″, 1-7/8″, 2-3/8″, 2-7/8″

Squares:  1-3/16″, 1-5/8″, 2-1/8″, 2-5/8″

Ovals:  1-3/4″ x 1-3/16″, 2-1/4″ x 1-5/16″, 2-3/4″ x 1-13/16″, 3-1/4″ x 2-5/16″.

Thankful. Grateful. Blessed.

Hello Stampers!

Thankful. Grateful. Blessed.  The sentiment featured in the Paisleys & Posies Bundle is my favorite from the Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog.  I chose this set to feature specifically to use in creating Thanksgiving cards.    However, I think it will be used to give thanks year round.

Recently, I attended OnStage and Brian King’s World Card Making Day (#WCMDAtlanta) in Atlanta.  During the events, we were spoiled with lots of Stampin’ Up! goodies to include the Crumb Cake Note Card and Envelope set.

For my Paisleys die cute shapes, I chose very traditional Fall colors:  Elegant Eggplant, Cajun Craze and Crushed curry.  Regals Enamel Dots and 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon are used to embellish.

The card below features a Soft Suede base.  I embossed the layer of Cajun Craze using the Elegant Dots TIEF (another fav!).
