PPA 175 Challenge

It’s time for another PPA challenge! For PPA 175′ The artists have suggested using the following wonderful autumn colors:

Unfortunately, I had to substitute Dusty Durango for Cajun Craze. And lucky for me, Cajun Craze, Really Rust and Dusty Durango are very similar. My stock is slowly being replenished, refurbished and updated with the new colors, tools and styles.

For this week’s card, I dusted off some old Stampin’ Up DSP from the 2009-2010 Idea Book – Autumn Traditions. We will call it retro stamping! No need to waste perfectly good paper? The interior is stamped using the “Holiday Best” Hostess Level 1 set also from the 2009-2010 Idea book. To make the leaves, I used one of my favorite Martha Stewart punches. Martha knows her punches. Enjoy!

I’ve forgotten how much fun the joy fold card is to make. I’ll be using this template again soon!

My First Paper Pals Arts Challenge

I’m fortunate to be part of such an artistic group of people who are so willing to share ideas and techniques. That said, I am incredibly nervous about posting my card. I’m a novice compared to these stampers. Yes, that’s what I call us. Stampers, crafters, paper junkies.  This challenge is based on the use of three colors: pumpkin pie, pear pizazz and baked brown sugar. Now, since I am rebuilding my stash, I’ve made a few substitutions.  Certain celery (ret.) and soft suede in for the latter to colors.  Here’s my lineup so far.

Wish me luck!
